Austin A30
A very rare Austin A30 from may 1953
This is a "New Seven", the
first model introduced in november 1951, not as successor to the
old Austin 7, but as a completely new compact car and Austin's
answer to the Morris Minor.
A30 from Amager , Copenhagen and last
driven in 1999.
In a period of ca. 10 years this was
in the exhibition of a cardealer. Then sold and MOTed in 1998
and after a couple of months the new owner chrashed the car on
a slippery road and drive right in to a tree on the road.
After that the car was stored 5-6 years
at Niels Madsen - The Motor Shop, Amager, Copenhagen.
5th. of november the A30 arrived at
Samso, brought by Claus Neble on his old green Ford C83W-truck.

I've found parts in England - a new
radiator, new grille, carb and other good stuff. Thanks to Paul
Canty, London for great help, suggestions and supergood service.
He's no. 1 guest of honor at the Austin Museum: I needed a steering
wheel and it's found and will be coming by mail by end of july
2006.
The brake cylinder and hubcaps are
missing, but Madsen from Copenhagen got it in his workshop.
